Research
Airports are pieces of critical infrastructure that contain multiple stakeholders with numerous interests. The high number of factors and the interconnectedness of those factors indicates that airport terminals can be modelled as a complex system, which is a particular approach to mathematical modelling. In this research, the inbound passenger processing system at Australian airports is modelled to determine to likely waiting time for a passenger.
Other details
Jegar is also involved in application of Bayesian Network models to areas as diverse as education and music performance, and has produced work on validation approaches for complex systems models.
