Title: Limiting the spread of disease during initial stages
Abstract: In this talk, I will first describe the spread of an SIS epidemic in a metapopulational network, accounting migration of individuals between subpopulations. I will then discuss conditions for disease persistence at an endemic level. Then move on to determine the optimal migration patterns that minimises the basic reproduction number and expected growth rate of the disease
Title: A brief summary of ongoing paper on “Predicting daily emergency department patient volume by calendar variables and ambient temperature data”
Abstract: I am going to talk about the following points briefly:
*The need of the current study providing some background information on Emergency departments in Australian public hospitals.
* Introduction to Generalized Additive models (GAM).
*Current application of GAM and SARIMA models.
