Update for the new ‘tidyr’ package

Nick was reading today about the update for the new `tidyr` package, which has a bunch of new nifty features, such as filling in empty rows that are often left blank but need to be “carried forward”, and unnesting lists of numbers.

Anyway, this is great, but what he also found was a guide for writing clean datasets, which he thought could be interesting and useful to pass on to collaborators, so that perhaps they can learn how we usually like our data formatted, so we can spend less time cleaning data.
