Congratulations: Professor Kerrie Mengersen – Australian Laureate Fellow 2015

Congratulations to Professor Kerrie Mengersen, who has been announced as one of only 15 new Australian Laureate Fellows for 2015.  The award is a particular achievement given the brutality of the competition at this level. Kerrie’s project Bayesian Learning for Decision Making in the Big Data Era has been awarded $2.4 million over five years and will transform the way in which Australia is equipped to thrive in the big data era by translating statistical knowledge to real-world challenges in industry, environment and health. http://arc.gov.au/media/releases/Minister_FL23June15.htm
