FameLab – a chance to practice your “Talking Scientist” Communication skills! Closes 27/02/15

FameLab is one of the world’s leading science communication competitions. It aims to find, develop and mentor young researchers in communicating their science, adhering to the basic rules of No Powerpoint, No lab coats and No jargon. You have 3 minutes to pitch your research.

If you are chosen as a FameLab Australia National Finalist, you will be invited to travel to Perth (all flights, accommodation and meals covered by FameLab), where you’ll join the other National Finalists for two days of intensive presentation and media training and the FameLab Australia National Final event (13 May 2015). One lucky participant will win the title of 2015 FameLab Australia Winner, and then represent Australia at the FameLab International Final in the UK.

The Queensland state-heat will be held on 21 April 2015 in Brisbane.   Applications for the state-heat close on Friday 27 February 2015.  Find out how you can enter here.
